Impact Ducker was held in check last Thursday as the Bearkats took down the Eagles in the New Orleans Bowl. The 5-foot-10 redshirt senior closed out the 2024-25 season with 158 carries for 745 yards and seven touchdowns, adding on 15 receptions for 110 receiving yards. Set to play Thursday Ducker (transfer portal) is set to play in Thursday's game versus Georgia Southern, Sports of SHSU reports.
Impact Despite entering the transfer portal in early December, Ducker is set to finish out the Bearkats' season in the New Orleans Bowl. He had a very productive season where he rushed 148 times for 719 yards and seven touchdowns and will look to finish his lone season with Sam Houston on a high note.
DECEMBER 19, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Listed on depth chart Ducker (transfer portal) is listed on the depth chart for Thursday's bowl game against Georgia Southern.
Impact Ducker will seek a new home for the 2025 season, but first, he's expected to suit up for SHU for their final game of the campaign against Georgia Southern. Ducker will head into this bowl matchup having notched 148 carries for 719 yards and seven scores in 12 games in 2024, averaging 4.9 yards per carry.
DECEMBER 19, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Seeks new home Ducker will enter the transfer portal, Pete Nakos of On3.com reports.
Impact Ducker is coming off an excellent season as the Bearkats' top tailback. He ran for 719 yards and seven scores on 4.9 yards-per-carry, also adding 15 catches for 110 yards through the air. He figures to have one more season of eligibility remaining.
DECEMBER 2, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Over 100 total yards Ducker ran 24 times for 96 yards and had two catches for 17 yards against Liberty on Friday.
Impact This is Ducker's third game with over 100 total yards. The back was probably just happy to get healthy after a couple lost years at Memphis, and he's now over 700 yards rushing and 100 yards receiving with at least one game left, and possibly two.
NOVEMBER 29, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Held to 43 yards rushing Ducker ran 11 times for 43 yards against JSU on Saturday.
Impact Ducker did eke over 600 yards on the season, and given the fact he basically missed two seasons with injury that's a good thing, but these numbers were a little lacking. He'll still be the lead back against Liberty in a big conference game to close the regular season, though.
NOVEMBER 23, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Rushes for a score Ducker ran 18 times for 111 yards and a touchdown against KSU on Saturday.
Impact That's back-to-back games with a touchdown for Ducker, who has rushed for 580 yards and seven scores on the season. He has averaged 5.1 yards per carry, though, so when he gets enough touches, he can do some damage.
NOVEMBER 17, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Carries the offense Ducker ran 13 times for 72 yards and a touchdown and had three catches for 14 yards Tuesday against La Tech.
Impact These numbers aren't remarkable in a vacuum, but are in this game. Sam Houston won 9-3 and Ducker scored the only touchdown. In fact, the Bearkats totaled 268 yards offensively, so Ducker was at the forefront.
OCTOBER 29, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Runs for 32 yards Ducker had 10 carries for 32 yards versus FIU on Tuesday.
Impact In the middle of the season Ducker had a stretch where he was playing well, but his last couple games have not been encouraging. Over his last two contests Ducker has totaled 16 carries for 49 yards.
OCTOBER 23, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Struggles on the ground Ducker ran six times for 17 yards but had two catches for 34 yards versus WKU on Thursday.
Impact Ducker struggled on the ground, but on the season he has averaged 5.1 yards per carry. In 2021, before a couple years of injury issues, he averaged 5.4 yards per tote with Northern Illinois. Ducker should be fine, especially if he can add some catches into the mix.
OCTOBER 17, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Does a lot on limited touches Ducker ran nine times for 70 yards and had two catches for 17 yards against UTEP on Saturday.
Impact Ducker got his production even on only a handful of touches, and he's averaged 5.3 yards per carry on the season with five scores. He's been sharing rushing attempts with quarterback Hunter Watson, but notably DJ McKinney had a sizable, successful role in this one. That could complicate things a bit more in terms of touches, but Ducker has shown he can do damage without a ton of work.
OCTOBER 4, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Rushes for three TDs Ducker ran 14 times for 69 yards and three touchdowns versus Texas State on Saturday.
Impact Credit to Sam Houston's offensive staff, as they have pivoted to suit the roster much like Michigan up in the Big Ten. It's all about running the ball now, as even two of its receivers had more carries than catches. Ducker, though, is the lead back, and that seems like a good role to be in for the Bearkats.
SEPTEMBER 29, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Slogs way to TD Tucker ran 20 times for 38 yards and a touchdown against NMSU on Saturday.
Impact Touchdown or not, averaging a mere 1.9 yards per carry over 20 carries is pretty rough to see. However, last week he ran for 148 yards on 15 carries. Also, in 2021, the last season he was healthy, Ducker ran for 1,184 yards on 218 carries for NIU, so this might have just been a tough day he slogged through to find the end zone.
SEPTEMBER 21, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Finally able to get involved Ducker ran 15 times for 148 yards and had one catch for 10 yards Saturday versus Hawaii.
Impact Ducker impressed in a supporting role for Memphis in 2022, but then had to sit out the 2023 season with an injury. He transferred to Sam Houston, and then suffered an ankle injury in camp. While declared "ready to go" prior to the season, Ducker registered no carries the first two weeks. Now, he's racked up 148 yards against the Rainbow Warriors. Seems like he's healthy.
SEPTEMBER 14, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Healthy and ready to go Ducker is "healthy and ready to go" after an ankle injury he suffered during Sam Houston's fall camp, Sports of SHSU reports.
Impact Now, Ducker is ready for his fresh start. He transferred to Sam Houston from Memphis after sitting out the Tigers' 2023 season because of an undisclosed injury. Before it, Ducker excelled for their 2022 team, having logged 110 carries for 544 yards (4.9 averaged per carry) and seven touchdowns across his 13 games then.
AUGUST 27, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Limited in practice Ducker (foot) was seen participating in drills but did not participate in contact activities, per Sports of SHSU.
Impact Ducker was previously seen in a boot during Wednesday's scrimmage, but the junior returned to practice Sunday in a limited fashion. The 5-foot-9 running back joined Sam Houston after transferring from Memphis in the offseason. Ducker, who missed the 2023 season with an injury, ran for 544 yards and seven touchdowns for the Tigers in 2022, adding 12 catches for 103 yards through the air as well.
AUGUST 18, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
In transfer portal Ducker (undisclosed) is in the transfer portal, according to his X account.
Impact After redshirting 2023, Ducker still has two years of collegiate eligibility remaining. He will depend on his 2022 output attracting a lot of interest. That year, Ducker logged more than 500 rushing yards and five touchdowns, the former not including the 100-plus receiving yards he also recorded.
APRIL 16, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Two scores in win Ducker rushed 13 times for 83 yards and two touchdowns and caught one pass for 15 yards in Tuesday's 38-10 win over Utah State.
Impact Ducker just slightly out-touched Asa Martin Tuesday, but was much more productive on his opportunities. He scored both of his touchdowns in the fourth quarter, with his second coming on a 48-yard run. The freshman finished the season with the most rushing yards on the team, and with Martin out of eligibility, Ducker should see even more work next season.
DECEMBER 27, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Listed as No. 2 running back Ducker is listed as the Huskies' No. 2 running back for Saturday's game against Wyoming, accordong to Eddie Carifio of the DeKalb Daily Chronicle.
Impact Ducker is listed behind Harrison Waylee, with Clint Ratkovich listed as the No. 1 fullback. Waylee is clearly the lead back for Northern Illinois, but Ducker is a name to stash away in case of injury.
