Impact Doege and the Mountaineers had no problems with Long Island as they racked up 555 total yards of offense. The starting quarterback was able to throw for three touchdowns for the 11th time in his career before allowing back-ups Garrett Greene and Will Crowder to play. West Virginia has a much tougher opponent in Virginia Tech next week.

Plagued by turnovers in loss Doege completed 24 of 42 passes for 280 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions in Saturday's 30-24 loss at Maryland.

Impact Doege's two interceptions were half of the team's four total turnovers which could not be overcome as they played a fairly competitive game with the Terrapins. In 14 games over the last two seasons, Doege had a total of just seven interceptions, so this was not a good start for the senior signal caller. With healthy volume through the air and a solid running back in Leddie Brown, Doege is worth considering for fantasy purposes when West Virginia plays an easier opponent in Long Island next week.
