Back in practice Berger was a full participant in Saturday's practice, Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Impact Berger picked up an injury to his right leg in the beginning of the week but was able to return to practice Friday in a limited capacity and practiced fully Saturday. The redshirt freshman is expected to be the Badgers' workhorse out of the backfield after tallying 301 yards and 5 touchdowns on 60 rushing attempts last season.

Limited in Friday's practice Berger (leg) returned to practice Friday but was held out of team drills, Zach Heilprin of 1670AM The Zone Madison reports.

Impact Berger had to leave practice early Monday after suffering an injury to his right leg but was finally able to return in a limited capacity Friday. The extent of the injury was never revealed but the fact that Berger is already being reincorporated into practice just a few days later should be telling that the issue isn't all that serious.

Impact Berger's injury is beginning to become worrisome with the team's season opener just over two weeks away. Chez Mellusi handled the first-team reps but was reportedly held out of team drills, where Isaac Guerendo, Braelon Allen and Brady Schipper then saw some time with the first-string offense.

Impact Berger's injury isn't expected to be serious however he did end up missing practice for the rest of the day. If Berger's injury continues to bother him it's possible Chez Mellusi and Isaac Guerendo receive some first-team reps in practice. The running back had a strong showing his freshman year as he ran the ball 60 times in four games while accumulating 301 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Impact Berger missed time in the spring with a leg injury, but he'll be full speed ahead in advance of Wisconsin's Sept. 4 season opener versus Penn State. Dealing with leg injury Berger has been out for about two weeks with a leg injury and remained sidelined for Saturday's practice, Zach Heilprin of 1670AM The Zone Madison reports.

Impact It's unclear what kind of injury Berger is dealing with in his leg but it seems highly unlikely he'll return this spring with the Badgers set to conclude spring ball April 30. There has been no indication that Berger's injury will affect him for fall camp as he's in line to lead the Badgers' backfield once again and is expected to take a big leap in year two.
