Committing to UCF Nixon has committed to play for UCF for the 2025 season, per the team's official X account.

Impact Nixon will join the Knights following a single season with Western Michigan. The redshirt junior running back enjoyed a breakout season with the Broncos in 2024, running for 921 yards and 12 touchdowns while adding 10 catches for 77 yards through the air. He will retain a single year of eligibility with UCF.

Enters transfer portal Nixon entered the transfer portal Sunday, per Pete Nakos of On3.com.

Impact Nixon will look for a new program to join after spending one season at Western Michigan. He has rushed for 1421 yards and 14 touchdowns on 253 carries across his four-year career and has one season of eligibility remaining.

Impact Nixon seemed to pop down to RB3 in the recent weeks as he had just three carries compared to 19 carries for both Jalen Buckley and Zahir Abdus-Salaam in the win over the Eagles. Nixon's low amount of usage plagued the end of his season, though he did have some huge games this year. The junior running back ended the campaign with 132 rushes for 876 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Impact Nixon has seen his role diminish recently, with just 13 attempts for 33 yards in the last two weeks. This could change in the Broncos' possibly last game of the year against Eastern Michigan, but it seems like WMU's staff is favoring runner Jalen Buckley in this late-season time.

Impact Nixon wasn't a huge part of the Broncos' rushing game in the loss, taking a backseat role to Jalen Buckley. Although, this could have been due to the nature of the blowout, meaning Nixon could still return to high-output performances in the final weeks of the regular season.

Impact Nixon has been extremely dominant on the ground this season, especially against conference opponents. Although the game ended in a blowout loss, the 5-foot-10 ball carrier started out the matchup with a 66-yard touchdown run and punched in another later in the second quarter. He has been relied on heavily as the Broncos leading back so far this season, and his output should not change as the team takes on Bowling Green next Tuesday.

Impact Nixon put together a huge day off of just eight rushes, piecing together his second-straight game with 100 or more rushing yards. The upperclassman running back has taken full command over the backfield of the 4-0 conference record-holding Broncos, and he has amassed 752 rushing yards for 10 touchdowns this year.

Three TDs in close victory Nixon had 14 rushes for 112 yards and three touchdowns during Saturday's 48-41 victory over Buffalo.

Impact Nixon returned to being the high-producing ground pounder that he's been since Week 3, with his second three-touchdown performance of the year. The 5-foot-10 ball carrier scored a touchdown in the second, third and fourth quarter against Buffalo, and he now has 100 rushing yards or more in four of his last five games.

Impact Nixon still had the most carries for the Broncos' backfield, but he wasn't able to do much with them, averaging less than two yards per carry. The upperclassman running back should still be the main running back for Western Michigan in the coming weeks, but he may not have as big of a share as he did earlier in the year as conference play heightens.

Hat-trick performance vs. Cardinals Nixon notched 14 rushes for 124 yards and three touchdowns and gathered in their only target for six yards during Saturday's 45-42 victory against Ball State.

Impact Nixon has just about established himself as the clear cut RB1 at this point in the season. He now has 459 rushing yards and six touchdowns in the past three games, and has out-carried the Broncos' other running backs in those three games as well. He has popped out as a solid fantasy performer and should continue to do so in the coming weeks as long as he continues to be utilized.

Impact Nixon has been utilized heavily in the recent weeks with Western Michigan relying so heavily on the run game. The junior running back is being utilized in a committee currently, but he should continue to get the rock at high levels no matter who the team plays as the year progresses.
