Impact Nixon had a disappointing finish to his collegiate career Saturday, gaining only 12 yards on four touches in the loss to BYU. It was an up and down season for Nixon as he oscillated between elite performances and irrelevant outings. He finished the campaign with 554 rushing yards and seven touchdowns, adding 88 receiving yards and one return touchdown. The journeyman's collegiate career has now come to an end after stints at Oklahoma State, Western Michigan and Central Florida.

Shut down Saturday Nixon had seven carries for 28 yards during Saturday's 17-14 victory against Oklahoma State.

Impact Nixon was shut down Saturday, a surprise given the weak opposing defense and his increase in workload over the last two games. Myles Montgomery returned to the lineup though and took over the vast majority of the backfield, a role he will likely continue to have in the regular season finale Saturday at BYU.

Quiet as lead back Nixon posted 15 carries for 32 yards and gathered in all three targets for negative one yard during Saturday's 48-9 loss to Texas Tech.

Impact Nixon led the Knights' backfield Saturday with Myles Montgomery (should) out, but he was unable to get much going versus the elite Texas Tech defense. He had 18 touches out of the backfield, by far his most in a game this season, but only gained 31 yards from scrimmage. It was a disappointing first opportunity as the lead back. He faces a favorable matchup Saturday versus Oklahoma State where he has a chance to be productive regardless of Montgomery's availability.

Productive in Friday's loss Nixon accrued 11 carries for 62 yards and one touchdown and hauled in 3 of 4 targets for 32 yards during Friday's 30-27 loss versus Houston.

Impact Nixon put together a solid performance Saturday, highlighted by his 15-yard touchdown scamper at the end of the first half, his seventh of the season. He received a season-high 14 touches in the game and took those for 94 yards, seeing an increase in workload with Myles Montgomery (shoulder) leaving the contest early. If Montgomery is forced to miss time, Nixon would lead the Knights' backfield.

Shut down Saturday Nixon logged three rushes for 18 yards and hauled in 0 of 1 targets for zero yards during Saturday's 30-3 defeat versus Baylor.

Impact Nixon only had three touches in Saturday's loss, his second time in the last three games with three or fewer. He has proven he can be effective on limited touches, but it's difficult to rely on him given how low his floor is. Myles Montgomery is still getting the majority of the touches out of the Knights' backfield and there's no reason to believe that won't continue.

Nixon has shown his explosiveness throughout this season, but he's still somewhat limited as Myles Montgomery is still gobbling up the majority of the work in the backfield.

Nixon has proven to be a very explosive player for the Knights, and that has earned him some consistent work behind Myles Montgomery.
