Not in line to start Brown is not expected to start Saturday's game versus Arizona, Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact Brown started the last two games for the Golden Knights but he is now in line to be the second string quarterback versus Arizona after two poor performances. Instead, redshirt freshman Dylan Rizk is set to start Saturday, making him the fourth different UCF quarterback to start a game this season.

Starting spot uncertain Brown may not start under center this Saturday against Arizona, Brandon Helwig of Rivals.com reports.
Impact Brown, who was benched during last week's loss against BYU after throwing two picks, is competing with Dylan Rizk to stay under center against the Wildcats. The 6-foot-4 redshirt sophomore, a transfer from Miami, has tallied 387 passing yards (34-of-66), one touchdown and four interceptions across five outings, adding on 339 yards and two scores with his legs. When asked about who would start against Arizona, head coach Gus Malzahn declined to name a starter, making this a situation to monitor as we approach kickoff.

Gets benched during loss Brown was 8-for-17 passing for 96 yards and two interceptions during Saturday's 37-24 defeat against Brigham Young. He also had six rushes for nine yards.
Impact RJ Harvey is currently the only bright spot for UCF's offense, and the quarterback position has continued to be an issue. DylanR izk replaced Brown late in the game and had more success, but the team hasn't been the same since KJ Jefferson's benching. It's anyone's guess who will be under center next week against Arizona, and Brown may have lost his hold on the job.

UCF moving forward with Jacurri Brown at quarterback The Knights have tabbed Brown to be their starting quarterback moving forward, replacing transfer quarterback KJ Jefferson.

Scores twice on the ground in loss Brown was 8-for-20 passing for 62 yards and two interceptions during Saturday's 38-35 loss to Iowa State. He also had 13 rushes for 154 yards with two touchdowns.
Impact With Brown at quarterback, UCF's passing game was almost non-existent. The Knights depended heavily on the feet of Brown and RJ Harvey to drive the offense, and the tactic worked until the second half when Iowa State came roaring back from a two-touchdown deficit. Brown started for KJ Jefferson for the second consecutive week, and although a change could happen at any time, he appears to be the best option for the Knights on paper.

Starting quarterback Saturday Brown will be the Golden Knights' starting quarterback for their game Saturday at Iowa State, Steve Samra of On3.com reports.
Impact Brown being promoted to the Golden Knights' QB1 position should not be a total shock, considering he took their first-team reps earlier this week. Now, the question is whether or not he can continue to play well, especially while playing against a tough defense provided by Iowa State. Brown is coming off some momentum though, with 13 completions for 207 yards and a touchdown to go with 16 carries for 84 yards in Week 7.

Scheduled for first-team reps Brown is scheduled to log first-team reps Wednesday, Matt Murschel of The Orlando Sentinel reports.
Impact Brown logging first-team reps indicates he could be Central Florida's starting quarterback. He already replaced KJ Jefferson during Week 7, which saw him completion 13 passes for 207 yards and one touchdown without any turnovers. He also logged 16 carries for 84 yards then.
OCTOBER 14, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Replaces Jefferson at quarterback Brown completed 13 of 20 passes for 207 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 19-13 loss versus Cincinnati. He also had 16 rushes for 84 yards.
Impact Surprisingly, KJ Jefferson was benched after starting the first five games of the season. but the Knights still struggled to score with Brown under center. The Bearcats recorded one of their worst offensive performances and allowed UCF a chance to catch up late in the game, but the Knights' offensive line couldn't keep Brown upright after a last-ditch effort to score. It's an uncharacterisc start for the Knights, and it's currently unknown if Brown will continue at quarterback against Iowa State next week.
