Impact With the game out of reach, Brown took over the offense from Tayven Jackson for the second half of Saturday's game. He only attempted three passes but scored two rushing touchdowns from 60 yards and 15 yards out. He's still the third string quarterback behind Cam Fancher (back) and Jackson, but his rushing ability gives him value if Jackson sustains an injury and Fancher remains out.

Impact Brown, who was benched during last week's loss against BYU after throwing two picks, is competing with Dylan Rizk to stay under center against the Wildcats. The 6-foot-4 redshirt sophomore, a transfer from Miami, has tallied 387 passing yards (34-of-66), one touchdown and four interceptions across five outings, adding on 339 yards and two scores with his legs. When asked about who would start against Arizona, head coach Gus Malzahn declined to name a starter, making this a situation to monitor as we approach kickoff.

The Knights depended heavily on the feet of Brown and RJ Harvey to drive the offense, and the tactic worked until the second half when Iowa State came roaring back from a two-touchdown deficit. Brown started for KJ Jefferson for the second consecutive week, and although a change could happen at any time, he appears to be the best option for the Knights on paper.
