Suffers broken thumb George suffered a broken thumb during Saturday's showdown with Texas A&M, Manny Navarro of The Athletic reports.

Impact George sustained the injury during his first game back after serving a two-game suspension. The sophomore wideout saw five targets prior to leaving the game, which he converted into three catches for 41 yards. It is unclear when George will be able to make his return, but Miami's next game is Saturday against Middle Tennessee, and he will likely be unavailable.

Making push for playing time George has impressed early in camp and is making a push for playing time as a freshman, Blake Brockermeyer of 247Sports reports.

Impact George joins a group of Hurricanes wideouts who haven't proven a ton to date outside of senior Mike Harley, who is coming off of a solid 2020 campaign. That could leave the door open for some playing time if George continues to perform well during camp.
