Will remain starter in Week 4 Head coach Hugh Freeze indicated Saturday that Brown will remain the starter for next week's matchup against Arkansas, Justin Ferguson of AuburnObserver.com reports.

Impact Brown performed admirably in his first collegiate start, completing 17 of 25 passes for 235 yards and four touchdowns en route to a 45-19 victory over New Mexico. The redshirt freshman quarterback will aim to build off this performance for next week's home matchup against the Razorbacks.

Announced as starter for Week 3 Brown will start under center for the Tigers as they host New Mexico this Saturday, Justin Hokanson of On3.com reports.

Impact Brown is set to make the first start of his collegiate career after team captain Payton Thorne threw four picks in last week's loss against California. The 6-foot-4 redshirt freshman has seen action in two games with the Tigers, throwing for 228 yards (10-of-14), two touchdowns and no interceptions. Brown will have an opportunity to showcase his talents for Auburn on Saturday, but given Thorne's senior status and experience with the Tigers under center, Brown is likely to be on a shorter leash or split time at the position.
