Impact Holstein threw for four touchdowns for a second straight game and eclipsed the 300-yard milestone for the first time this season. The signal caller completed 75 percent of his passes against the Chippewas and was a positive on the ground. In two games this season, Holstein has 519 passing yards, an 8:2 TD:INT and 77 rushing yards.

Four scores in 2025 debut Holstein completed 15 of 23 passes for 215 yards, four touchdowns and one interception during Saturday's 61-9 victory over Duquesne. He also had seven rushes for 41 yards.

Impact Holstein made quick work of the Dukes, leading Pitt to six scores in 10 drives under center before sitting out the entire fourth quarter. His four passing touchdowns set a career high. While Duquesne didn't provide as much resistance as Holstein will face in ACC play, it was a solid start to the campaign for the dual-threat signal caller. He totaled 2,228 passing yards, a 17:7 TD:INT, 328 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns in 10 games last season.

Impact Holstein was filmed getting reps with all his other skill-position teammates, throwing the ball enough Tuesday that it became apparent his most common pass targets then were Desmond Reid and Kenny Johnson. Schnable's update indicates the quarterback is healthy, which is welcome news after Pittsburgh's 2024 season that saw him log over 2,500 all-purpose yards and 20 touchdowns. As it stands, Holstein is expected to be the Panthers' primary quarterback, just like he was last year.
