Impact Virginia will be Augustave's third team. Previously part of the Southeastern and Big 12 conferences, the Atlantic Coast Conference will also be his third. He brings a plethora of Power-Conference experience, having logged at least 200 yards in each of his past seasons. During 2024, Augustave recorded 85 carries for 384 yards and four touchdowns, all career highs.

Sage Ennis - Working back from injury Ennis (knee) is still working his way back from injury at Virginia's spring camp, per SI.com.

Impact Ennis isn't yet back at practice with the Cavaliers. The tight end played in just the first four games of the season, logging one catch for two yards before suffering season-ending knee injury. Ennis still needs some time to get back to full strength, and it's unclear if he'll be able to practice this spring.

Karson Gay - Not quite 100 percent Gay (undisclosed) isn't practicing at the moment but head coach Tony Elliot hopes to have him back at some point this spring, per SI.com.

Impact Gay didn't play in 2024 and underwent a mid-season surgery, one the tight end is still recovering from. Still, the fact that Elliot hopes he'll be back this spring is a good sign for his overall health, and the tight end still has all of fall camp to make an impact as well.

Jack Griese - Donning non-contact jersey Griese (foot) is wearing a non-contact jersey to open Virginia's spring practice period, per the team's official X account.

Impact Griese missed the Cavaliers' final eight games of the season with a foot injury, and appears to still be banged up. It's a good sign he's partaking in practice, but the tailback still has some recovering to do before he's able to be a full participant. Griese ran for 55 yards on 13 carries last year, while catching a 57-yard touchdown.

Xavier Brown - Partaking in spring ball Brown (collarbone) is practicing this spring for Virginia, per the team's official X account.

Impact Brown broke his collarbone in November and was forced to miss Virginia's regular-season finale against Virginia Tech. The halfback appears to be back at full capacity, however. That's big news for the Cavaliers, as Brown is a favorite to start this fall after an 80-carry, 488-yard, one-touchdown season in 2024.
