The 6-foot-5 junior quarterback, who recently announced his intentions to forgo the NFL Draft and return to Penn State in 2025, has thrown for 3,021 yards (237-of-346), 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions across 14 games, adding on 289 rushing yards and six scores with his legs. Allar may be called upon to push the ball downfield a little bit more against Boise State in the second round of the CFB Playoffs.

After putting on some late-game heroics in last week's tight win against Minnesota, the junior signal-caller merely had to overcome a slow start before rolling out to an easy win versus the Terrapins. Allar scored twice in the second quarter, including a one-yard plunge for his fifth rushing touchdown of the season followed by a seven-yard hookup with tight end Tyler Warren. Allar finishes the 2024 regular season with 23 total touchdowns, which is just four fewer than his total from last regular season. He made significant strides as a passer this season by increasing his completion percentage from 59.9 last year to 71.6 this year. Allar will likely have to play close to a perfect game for the Nittany Lions to beat No. 1-ranked Oregon this coming Saturday night.

Impact Allar had his most clutch performance of the season as he saved the Nittany Lions from suffering their second loss of the season. The junior quarterback put his team on the board when he hit uncovered wideout Omari Evans for a 45-yard touchdown early in the second quarter. He then played heroics from there on out, starting with his four-yard touchdown on a scramble out of the pocket late in the second quarter. Allar then converted on fourth-and-1 twice during Penn State's game-winning drive, first pushing forward on a keeper from the Minnesota 25 just before the two-minute warning and then ad-libbing in the pocket before finding tight end Tyler Warren for an 11-yard completion to secure the win. Allar has now totaled 21 touchdowns while turning the ball just six times this season. He likely won't have to do nearly as much during next week's regular-season finale in Happy Valley versus Maryland.
