Impact Neal didn't sport the same efficiency in the bowl game that he had during the season with the Jayhawks, averaging under four yards per carry, but he still managed to find pay dirt as one of seven touchdowns scored by Kansas on the day. Neal finished the campaign with 203 carries for 1,280 yards and 16 touchdowns, adding 25 catches for 217 yards and a score as a receiver, and he has already announced his intentions to return to Lawrence in 2024.

He's been Kansas' best offensive player with 1,423 total yards and 16 total touchdowns. Not many players in college football have back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons. Neal will finish the year in a bowl game and will then have a tough decision on whether he wants to play on Sundays early.

Impact Neal led the team with 12 carries and received more opportunities at the end of the game as Daniel Hishaw left with an injury. If the Hishaw injury turns out to be more serious, Neal is in line for more work against a TCU squad who likes to go back and forth with their opponents.

In fact, Daniels accounted for five of the Jayhawks' touchdowns which is the primary reason Neal had an underwhelming fantasy performance. Fantasy managers shouldn't worry too much as the volume is still there and he could realistically bounce back in a big way against Duke.

Impact Neal, a true freshman, was able to add his first collegiate touchdown as he paced the backfield with three more carries than teammate Velton Gardner. It's worth noting that it was still quarterback Jason Bean who stole the show with 102 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries. It appears that Kansas may look to utilize both Neal and Gardner moving forward.
