Out Tuesday Brewer (undisclosed) has been ruled out for the Boca Raton Bowl against Toledo on Tuesday, Damien Sordelett of The Lynchburg News & Advance reports.

Impact Brewer completed five of nine passes for 34 yards and an interception during the final game of the regular season against New Mexico State, and he won't be suiting up for the bowl game. He appeared in only three contests this season. Johnathan Bennett and Kaidon Salter could split quarterback reps Tuesday, as Liberty utilized a three-man rotation versus New Mexico State.

Impact Brewer has secured the starting job for Liberty after joining the program in December. The senior quarterback threw for 8,138 yards, 54 touchdowns and 24 interceptions across 36 games with Baylor. Brewer most recently appeared in three games for Utah, logging 484 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions with the program.

Impact Brewer is expected to have a good shot at securing the starting job for Liberty in 2022, despite the open quarterback competition. Brewer spent three seasons with Baylor and one with Utah before transferring to Liberty. In his collegiate career, the senior quarterback has amassed 8,622 passing yards, 57 touchdowns and 27 interceptions on 737-of-1,179 passing (across 39 games). The 6-foot-1 graduate transfer will look to secure the starting spot throughout the remainder of the offseason.
