Struggles in loss Jackson had another relatively mediocre game this season, completing only 17-of-30 pass attempts for 192 yards and one touchdown in the 31-26 Texas State loss to UTSA on Saturday.

Impact Jackson also ran 14 times for 39 yards and a touchdown for a total of 231 yards. It was understandable that Jackson would only throw for 150 yards against powerhouse Texas in the season opener on Sept. 5, but this was UTSA. The Bobcats were doing better on the ground with a total of 289. Last season, Jackson threw for 3,050 yards and 18 touchdowns. The one upside is that Jackson did start out slow in 2025. The redshirt sophomore will look to reignite his season against North Texas on Sept. 19. The Mean Green gave up four passing touchdowns to Indiana in their first game this season.

Impact The Bobcats demolished the Owls in the Armed Forces Bowl, and much of the team's success can be attributed to Jackson's dominance. The 6-foot quarterback dished out three-plus touchdowns for the third time this season, and he continued his dominance on the ground with yet another rushing score. Jackson will now close out his redshirt freshman campaign, completing 71.3 percent of passes for 3,223 yards with 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also closed out the year with 174 rushes for 744 yards and a whopping 17 touchdowns.
