Bo Jackson News, Rumors, Updates - Ohio State Buckeyes

Logs 70 yards in victory Jackson accrued 16 rushes for 70 yards during Saturday's 31-14 victory over Iowa.

Impact Jackson worked in an even timeshare with Ja'Kobi Jackson, a pattern that seems to be the Ohio State offense's trend moving forward. Ja'Kobi Jackson has distinguished himself as an adept short-yardage and goal-line option, and while the development might affect Bo Jackson's scoring somewhat, his yardage outlook remains intact.

Modest output in blowout Jackson totaled 11 rushes for 53 yards and reeled in 3 of 4 targets for 16 yards during Saturday's 42-19 victory over Illinois.

Impact Jackson shared running back duties evenly with Ja'Kobi Jackson last week against Illinois, but Bo Jackson is usually the first man up in Ohio State's backfield. He will face a stern test next week against an Iowa defense that is strong against the run.

Impact Jackson produced his third consecutive solid showing and carried in his second touchdown of the season in the decisive win. Although Ja'Kobi Jackson is excelling as the change-of-pace back, Jackson is the clear captain of the backfield with 39 carries for 230 yards through the first three games of the season.

Logs 111 yards of total offense in loss Jackson posted 19 carries for 74 yards during Saturday's 24-23 loss against Texas. He also caught four passes for 37 yards.

Impact While Jackson posted a solid rushing total, he was at his most useful as a check-down candidate in the passing game, especially when Texas' defense shut down vertical lanes. Totals like these will be frequent for Jackson against strong opponents, but touches will be shared with Ja'Kobi Jackson against a weaker foe like Kent next week.

Romps for 65-yard score Jackson recorded nine carries for 83 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 56-3 win against Ball State.

Impact Jackson logged most of his yardage via the breakaway TD run, and the incumbent back surprisingly shared the backfield with Ja'Kobi Jackson, with both backs yielding almost identical results. It's unclear if the blowout influenced the split or if it's a trend that will continue, but the Ohio State offense certainly gave both runners plenty of opportunities in this matchup.
