Won't play in Mayo Bowl
Tuten (Pro Draft Prep) won't suit up for Virginia Tech in the Duke's Mayo Bowl against Minnesota, Mike Barber of the Daily News-Record reports.
Impact
Tuten was considered doubtful already, as he wasn't spotted in practice leading up to the bowl game against Minnesota. What was assumed has been confirmed - the tailback will opt out and prepare for the 2025 NFL Draft. Tuten is coming off a monster season in which he 1,158 yards and 15 touchdowns on 6.8 yards-per-carry.

Not spotted in practice Monday
Tuten wasn't spotted in the Hokies' practice Monday and might not be available for the Duke's Mayo Bowl against Minnesota on Friday, Andy Bitter of Tech Sidelines reports.
Impact
Even though Tuten hasn't announced anything regarding an opt-out, not being with the rest of his teammates Monday and the bowl happening Friday is undoubtedly concerning. Thus, Tuten will likely opt to prepare for the 2025 NFL Draft after deciding to sit out the bowl game. If he doesn't play Friday, the star running back would finish 2024 with 183 carries for 1158 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Huge day vs. Cavs
Tuten notched 18 carries for 124 yards and two touchdowns and reeled in 0 of 2 targets for zero yards during Saturday's 37-17 win against Virginia.
Impact
Tuten was his usual dynamic self against Virginia, and his 124 yards were his most since Week 8 against Boston College. The tailback has had a spectacular season, and now the senior must decide whether or not to play in the Hokies' bowl game or opt out in preparation for the NFL Draft.

Good to go Saturday
Tuten (undisclosed) is going through warmups and will be available to play Saturday against Virginia, Andy Bitter of Tech Sidelines reports.
Impact
Tuten was initially listed as questionable for this matchup, but his presence in warmups suggests the star tailback will be good to go. Tuten has 165 carries for 1,034 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, making it the third year in a row he's recorded double-digit rushing scores.

Considered questionable
Tuten (undisclosed) is questionable for the Hokies' clash with Virginia, Pete Thamel of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
Tuten returned in full against Duke last week, tallying 19 carries for 84 yards and a score. He's now considered questionable for Week 14 with his nagging injury. If he's unable to go, Jeremiah Coney figures to see an uptick in carries.

86 total yards in loss
Tuten totaled 19 rushes for 84 yards and one touchdown and reeled in all two targets for two yards during Saturday's 31-28 defeat versus Duke.
Impact
Tuten was highly questionable leading up to the game, but he made his return and dominated the carries in the backfield with 19. The tailback didn't have his most efficient or explosive day, but he played his normal workload and led the way for the Hokies' tailbacks. He'll look to finish strong against Virginia in Week 14.

Starting at running back
Tuten (ankle) is starting at running back for Virginia Tech's game Saturday at Duke, Damien Sordelett of The Roanoke Times reports.
Impact
This means Tuten is good to go for Virginia Tech's game Saturday. The running back will look to make his first big impact since Week 9, when he logged 17 carries for 79 yards.

GTD Saturday
Tuten (ankle) will be a game-time call for Saturday's clash with Duke, Kolby Crawford of 247Sports reports.
Impact
Tuten was on the field for early warmups, but it appears his status for the contest in Durham remains up in the air and may not be clarified until kickoff. Thus, it will be a risky proposition to utilize Tuten in fantasy lineups, and it's possible he could be limited if he's indeed available.

Partaking in early warmups
Tuten is active for the Hokies' early warm-ups against Duke, Damien Sordelett of The Roanoke Times reports.
Impact
Tuten is warming up early with Virginia Tech, a good sign for his availability. Now, it's early yet, and these aren't the full warm-ups with pads. Tuten remains firmly questionable, but he's trending in the right direction prior to kickoff.

Spotted at practice
Tuten (undisclosed) was spotted at practice Wednesday, Kolby Crawford of 247Sports reports.
Impact
Tuten was termed questionable on Tuesday, but his participation in practice is obviously a good sign that the tailback will be able to go against the Blue Devils. Tuten didn't practice during the bye week and was extremely limited the week prior against Clemson, but he appears to be trending towards playing come Saturday.

Questionable Week 13
Tuten (ankle) has been termed questionable ahead of Saturday's game against the Blue Devils, Damien Sordelett of The Roanoke Times reports.
Impact
Tuten, who sat out in Week 10 against Syracuse before making a limited return in Week 11 against Clemson, remains questionable to suit up for the Hokies following their Week 12 bye. The 5-foot-11 senior back has appeared in nine games this season, posting 146 carries for 950 yards and 12 touchdowns, adding on 20 receptions for 77 yards and two receiving touchdowns through the passing game. Tuten's status for Saturday's game will continue to be monitored throughout the week.

ROTOWIRE
Doesn't practice during bye
Tuten (ankle) didn't practice during Virginia Tech's bye week session, Andy Bitter of Tech Sidelines reports.
Impact
This is somewhat expected considering Tuten dealt with an ankle injury that limited him against Clemson. It's also expected because Virginia Tech is known to give its veterans a break on bye weeks. Tuten's next game isn't until Nov. 23, so he has plenty of time to heal that ankle beforehand.

ROTOWIRE
Extremely limited in return
Tuten (ankle) posted four rushes for zero yards and caught all two targets for 21 yards during Saturday's 24-14 loss against Clemson.
Impact
Tuten clearly wasn't himself against Clemson. Virginia Tech barely bothered to try to establish the running game, but when it did, Tuten found absolutely nothing on the ground. He missed just one game with his ankle injury, but it's fair to question his status for next week as the star tailback is clearly still dealing with some setbacks.

ROTOWIRE
Exits game in Week 11
Tuten (ankle) exited Saturday's game against Clemson with an apparent ankle injury, Damien Sordelett of The Roanoke Times reports.
Impact
Tuten appears unlikely to return to the contest with Jeremiah Coney taking over at running back on the next drive. The 5-foot-11 senior tallied 21 yards on six touches prior to leaving the game.

Looks set to play Saturday
Tuten (lower leg) appears set to play Saturday versus Clemson, The Tech Lunch Pail reports.
Impact
Tuten was officially listed as a game-time decision Saturday but all signs pointed towards him suiting up. It looks as if that will be the case and he will return after a one week absence.

ROTOWIRE
Going through warmups
Tuten (lower leg) was dressed and warming up ahead of Saturday's matchup versus Clemson, per Damien Sordelett of The Roanoke Times.
Impact
Tuten will have a chance to make his return after missing last week's loss Syracuse, and how he fairs during warmups will likely determine his availability for Saturday's game. If Tuten ends up being unable to play, Jeremiah Coney would start in his place as Malachi Thomas has already been ruled out with an undisclosed injury.

ROTOWIRE
Game-time decision Saturday
Tuten (lower leg) is officially a game-time decision for Saturday's game at Clemson, although there is optimism that he will suit up, Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact
Tuten was able to practice during the week after missing last Saturday's loss to Syracuse. Although his status will not be determined until after pre-game warmups, there appears to be a good chance that he will give it a go versus Clemson. If he ends up not playing, Malachi Thomas would be set to start at running back.

ROTOWIRE
Logs full practice Wednesday
Tuten (lower leg) was "moving around fine" in practice Wednesday and is trending in the right direction toward being available for Saturday's game against Clemson, David Cunningham...
Impact
Tuten remains questionable for Saturday's clash against the Tigers, but the fact that the running back was moving around fine during Wednesday's session is certainly an encouraging sign. Tuten has been limited to just eight games this season, but he has racked up 950 yards and 12 touchdowns in just 142 carries. His average of 6.7 yards per carry is a personal-best mark for the senior.

ROTOWIRE
Questionable for Saturday
Tuten (lower leg) is questionable for the Hokies' clash with Clemson on Saturday, David Cunningham of Tech Sidelines reports.
Impact
Tuten didn't play against Syracuse. Malachi Thomas took the majority of the carries in his absence, although Jeremiah Coney wound up leading Virginia Tech in rushing. Both tailbacks figure to see touches once again if Tuten can't go against the Tigers.
