Impact Thacker, who dealt with an undisclosed injury this offseason, has cleared Ball State's injury report ahead of Saturday's opener against Purdue. The 5-foot-11 redshirt sophomore appeared in eight games with Ball State this last season, but he has yet to record a collegiate reception.

Kelly can do some damage on the ground, rushing for 724 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023, so improvement as a passer could go a long way to making him a fantasy-relevant option under center in 2025.
