A return to play around mid-September, potentially to face Troy on Sep. 19 or Mississippi State on Sep. 26, could be a more realistic scenario. If Hardy isn't ready for the opener, then Jamal Roberts, Xai'Shaun Edwards and Malae Fonoti would be options to get more work in the Tigers' backfield.
