Held to two points against USC
Williams tallied two points (1-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 0-0 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 26 minutes during Wednesday's 79-42 loss to USC.
Impact
With Stanford missing star player Oscar da Silva, the opportunity was there for Williams to take advantage, but he only managed to make a single shot attempt. He also led the team with four turnovers in the crushing defeat. Considered to be a likely one-and-done lottery pick before the start of the season, Williams' NBA stock looks much more in-limbo.

ROTOWIRE
Starting Wednesday
Williams will start Wednesday's game against USC.
Impact
Williams will start in place of the injured Oscar da Silva (leg), who will miss his third straight game. Williams has been an effective contributor off the bench as of late, averaging 8.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists over 22.0 minutes per game over his past six games. He'll look to take advantage of his increased role Wednesday.

Leads Stanford with 14 points
Williams posted 14 points (5-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds and two assists in 28 minutes during Saturday's 73-62 loss to Oregon St.
Impact
With leading scorer Oscar da Silva out for a second straight game, Williams has now stepped up with back-to-back double-digit scoring outputs. He was efficient from the floor, making three long-range attempts for the first time in over a month. Williams has come off the bench since his return from a six-game absence and has not lived up to expectations in his freshman campaign.

Struggles in return
Williams recorded seven points (3-8 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 0-0 FT), three rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes during Thursday's 69-51 loss to Colorado.
Impact
Williams came off the bench in his return after missing the previous six games due to COVID-19 contract tracing and his long-range shooting showed signs of rust. He continues to struggle with turnovers - leading the team with 3.4 per game. Expect Williams to take Lukas Kisunas' spot in the starting lineup as soon as Saturday against Utah.

ROTOWIRE
Will be available Thursday
Williams (personal) will be available for Thursday's game against Colorado, Ells Boone of the Stanford Daily reports.
Impact
Williams is now back after clearing COVID-19 protocols. Starters Bryce Wills and Daejon Davis are also back as well. Williams has not played since Jan. 16, so it' unclear if he will start right out of the gate. He is averaging 12.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.4 three-pointers per game this season.

ROTOWIRE
Doesn't take court Sunday
Williams ultimately did not take the court in Sunday's 76-70 victory over California.
Impact
Williams has missed the last six games due to what has been described as "personal reasons," but he was cleared to take the court Sunday. The expectation was that he may be used sparingly, but the freshman didn't even log a single minute. While he seems available, the usage Sunday makes it fair to question what type of workload, if any, Williams will see Thursday against Colorado.

Remains out Saturday
Williams (personal) won't play Saturday against UCLA, Jeff Goodman of WatchStadium.com reports.
Impact
Williams will miss a second straight game for personal reasons, while teammates Bryce Wills (knee) and Daejon Davis (undisclosed) will also remain out. With those key players unavailable, Spencer Jones (hip) and Noah Taitz could see increased usage for Stanford.

ROTOWIRE
Unavailable Thursday
Williams (undisclosed) will not play in Thursday's game against USC, Jeff Goodman of WatchStadium.com reports.
Impact
It's not clear at this point why Williams will be unable to suit up Thursday. Stanford will be down three of its top five scorers against the Trojans with Bryce Wills and Daejon Davis still out. We'll see if any of them can return Saturday against UCLA.
