Leads balanced attack Freemantle accumulated 15 points (5-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-7 FT), five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal across 36 minutes during Saturday's 76-72 win over UConn.

Impact Don't look now, but Xavier has won four of five games, including key, resume-building victories over Marquette and UConn. While four players were in double figures Saturday, Freemantle has been the primary spark in this run. Since missing three games in December with a lower-body injury, the senior center is averaging 15.9 ppg and 7.0 rpg across seven games in January. He leads the Musketeers in both scoring (16.5 ppg) and rebounding (7.4 rpg) on the year. Next up is another tough road matchup against Creighton on Wednesday.

Coming off bench Saturday Freemantle has been sent back to the bench for Xavier, Shelby Dermer of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Impact Freemantle made his first start since Dec. 14 against St. Johns on Tuesday, but he'll return to the bench against DePaul even after posting 22 points in said start. The forward has been replaced by Dailyn Swain in the first five. Even though he's not in the starting lineup, Freemantle should still figure to make a big impact for Xavier.

Impact Freemantle finally returned to the starting lineup after a three-game hiatus and one game off the bench with a lower-body injury. The 6-foot-9 big man registered his second-best scoring game of the season, dropping 22 points and tacking on two blocks in the eventual loss. The fifth-year looks to be back to full minutes for the Musketeers, and he should be relied on fully as the team looks to compete better in the Big East moving forward.

Impact Freemantle was Xavier's top scorer in this game despite coming off the bench in what turned out to be his return to the hardwood following a three-game absence. The senior showed that his lower-body injury is a thing of the past. Freemantle could return to the starting lineup when Xavier takes on St. John's on Tuesday, Jan. 7.

Continues to progress Coach Sean Miller said that Freemantle (lower leg) continues to progress and that they are optimistic he can return soon, Adam Baum of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Impact Freemantle still has no timetable for return at this point after suffering the lower body injury a couple weeks ago. Part of the injury is a deep bone bruise which makes things tricky. Xavier will continue to try to hold the fort down on Tuesday against Seton Hall and hope Freemantle can be back healthy to give the team a spark down the stretch.
