Creighton hosts the Xavier Musketeers after Jasen Green scored 26 points in Creighton's 93-88 loss to the Providence Friars

All Wright - Quiet again Wednesday Wright ended Wednesday's 89-75 win over Butler with five points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists over 18 minutes.

Impact Wright made his second consecutive start Wednesday, but he once again struggled to have an impact. He scored five points, his most since Dec. 12, which sums up just how unimpactful he's been over the last month. Even though he's consistently in the starting lineup over Roddie Anderson, Anderson is logging more minutes and is making much more of an impact than Wright.

Impact Anderson came off the bench in his second straight game and once again made an impact. He scored double digit points in his seventh straight game, althoguh he needed 14 field goal attempts to hit that mark versus Butler. He also grabbed a season-high seven rebounds and recorded multiple steals for the ninth time this season. Even though All Wright has taken his place in the starting five for now, Anderson still logs more minutes and has had a much larger impact than his teammate despite coming off the bench.

Impact Messina-Moore nearly recorded his first double-double of the season Wednesday with a season-high nine assists versus Butler. He also scored 15 points, although he did not shoot the ball well, especially from beyond the arc. He has now scored at least 14 points in seven consecutive games and is averaging 16.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.7 steals over that stretch which began when conference play started.

Impact Carroll put together his best performance of the season Wednesday as he led the Musketeers to a win over the rival Bulldogs. He scored 29 points and grabbed nine boards, both of which marked only the second time he's hit those figures. He was also dominant on the defensive end, recording a season-high five blocks and recording one steal in the win. The only downside to his performance was that he did not record an assist for the first time this season, but it's fair to say he more than made up for it on both ends of the court.

Impact Borovicanin recorded his seventh double-double of the season Saturday, including his fourth across his last five contests. He also hit three three-pointers for just the second time this season and provided six assists for the fifth time. He's now averaging 9.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.5 steals across 17 games this season, proving himself to be a double-double threat every night.

Jovan Milicevic - Excellent in Saturday's win Milicevic amassed 22 points (8-12 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds and one assist in 26 minutes before fouling out of Saturday's 97-84 win over Providence.

Impact Milicevic, who had not scored double digit points since Dec. 12, put up his best performance of the season in Saturday's win. He scored a season-high 22 points on just 12 field goal attempts, thanks in large part to him hitting four of five shots from beyond the arc. He also tied a season high with eight rebounds, nearly double his average this season. Although he's had a difficult time adjusting to Big East play, he showed vast improvement in Saturday's win and will look to keep that momentum going into Wednesday contest versus Butler.

Impact Considering the season is half over and Pozzato is just starting to get reintegrated with the team after MCL surgery, it is somewhat unlikely that the wing will return. The Evansville transfer was expected to be a featured player on the Musketeer offense after averaging 14.4 points as a freshman with the Purple Aces. Tre Carroll and Roddy Anderson have taken on more scoring responsibility with Pozzato out. A late season return for the 6-7 sophomore could bolster Xavier in the Big East tournament.

Impact Carroll put up a solid effort Wednesday, filling up the stat sheet on both ends of the court. He scored 12 points, well under his average of nearly 16 per game, but he also grabbed six boards and recorded three assists in his fourth straight contest. He also recorded two steals and two blocks on defense, the first time this season he's recorded multiple steals and blocks in the same game.

Impact Messina-Moore led the Musketeers Wednesday with a season-high 22 points, but it was not enough to secure the conference win. He had a chance to win the game at the buzzer, but his long running shot did not hit the mark. It was his fifth straight game with at least 14 points, and he also recorded a season-high in steals (five) and three-pointers made (four). His performance was not without faults though as he turned the ball over a career-high five times, a tough pill to swallow in a one-point loss.
