Impact Wenzel was given a start and extra minutes after scoring 20 points against Nicholls State on Nov. 10. And with the restriction of Jeremiah Oden (concussion), fantasy managers should expect to get value from Wenzel starting and making three-point shots. Wenzel is 9-of-20 from deep across his first two games this season.

Impact Oden's previous concussion prevented him from participating in only one game, which the Cowboys played Thursday versus Nicholls State. He logged 17 points (5-9 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and two blocks during their matchup on Nov. 7. But because Oden recovered from something more threatening than most injuries, fantasy managers should not be surprised if the big man receives fewer minutes at least one game.

Impact With presumed starter Graham Ike on the sidelines for the next 6-to-8 weeks due to a right foot injury, Thompson got the call in the starting five and produced admirably against a DII opponent. Freshman center Nate Barnhart also sat out the contest due to an undisclosed issue, so the Cowboys are currently a bit stressed for depth at the five. That could lead to fantasy relevance for Thompson in formats that include the Mountain West, at least until Ike eventually returns.

Noah Reynolds - Potential to take starting PG spot Coach Jeff Linder said that Reynolds has "vastly improved" since last season and is in the mix to be the starting PG, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Impact Reynolds averaged just 2.9 points in 11.2 minutes per game as a freshman last season. The 6-3 guard has just had a tremendous offseason and could be a potential breakout candidate in the Mountain West. The opportunity is not overly apparent with ball-dominant point-forward Hunter Maldonado still there and Ethan Anderson transferring from USC, but coach Linder seems to really like what he's seen from Reynolds are will surely give him some chances.

Graham Ike - Voted Mountain West Preseason POY Ike was selected for Preseason Player of the Player for the Mountain West on Wednesday, Jeff Goodman of Stadium reports.

Impact Ike is going into his junior year coming off a breakout sophomore campaign in which he averaged 19.5 points, 9.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.7 steals in 31.6 minutes across 33 games. The 6-foot-9 big man managed to shoot 51.0 percent from the field and earn 6.7 free throw attempts per game. Ike should be a double-double machine again this year for Wyoming.
