Impact Floyd dished out a season-high seven assists while reaching double figures in scoring for the second time this season during West Virginia's dominant win over their backyard rivals. It was the fourth time in as many games that Floyd has had at least four helpers with the senior point guard also adding five boards and three thefts on the other end of the floor. He's now averaging a solid 11.8 points, 4.8 assists, 4.0 boards and 2.3 steals across 29.3 minutes.

Despite contributing 12 points, the 25-percent shooting performance on eight shots was an abnormal result for Lorient, who shot 56.9-percent while averaging 11.7 points as the sixth man last season with the Mean Green

Impact The senior transfer from North Texas was fantastic in his debut for the Mountaineers, matching a career high in scoring while adding four assists and five steals in what was a dominant effort. Floyd started every game last season for the Mean Green, averaging 9.0 points, 3.9 assists and 1.3 steals on 42.2-percent shooting for the AAC program. While he began his time in Morgantown on a high note, it is highly probable that as the season wears on, Floyd's performance will stabilize with numbers much closer to what we've seen out of him in previous seasons.

His return timeline is not concrete, though he will likely be out until late November at the least.
