Light warmups Wednesday
Cardet (knee) is doing some light shooting ahead of the Friars' clash with Xavier, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.
Impact
Cardet still has no official word on his status, although the lighter nature of his warm-ups isn't the greatest sign. Still, the fact that he's warming up at all suggests there's a chance the guard could return after a two-game hiatus. Cardet averages 9.3 points and 3.5 rebounds this season.

DNP Saturday
Cardet (knee) did not play in Saturday's game against Butler.
Impact
Cardet was held out of Saturday's contest, marking his second straight missed game while dealing with a knee injury. The 6-foot-6 senior has struggled to stay on the court recently, missing four of his last six games while playing just six total minutes in his two appearances in that time. Cardet will hope to hasten his recovery in order to return for Wednesday's game against Xavier.

ROTOWIRE
Day-to-day with injury
Cardet (knee) is listed as day-to-day, per Friars.com.
Impact
Cardet missed the team's previous game against Creighton and has been held out of three of the last five contests for the Friars while dealing with a knee injury. The 6-foot-6 senior had been heating up prior to the injury, scoring double-digit points in six of his last seven games before going down. His next chance to return will come against Butler on Saturday, though with just six total minutes played in his last two appearances between missed games, a large role seems unlikely until Cardet can return to full health.

12 point effort in victory
