Leaving Oregon Lin has entered the transfer portal, VerbalCommits.com reports.

Impact Lin spent the entire 2025-26 season as a backup option in Oregon's backcourt, but he still found a way to make nine starts out of 30 appearances. He averaged 6.6 points and 1.7 assists across 17.6 minutes per game, so he could get looks from programs nationwide from teams looking to add depth to their backcourt.

Returns from one-game absence Lin (undisclosed) totaled seven points (2-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and four assists in 17 minutes during Saturday's 85-79 win over Washington.

Impact Lin did not play in the blowout loss to Illinois on Tuesday. The 6-4 sophomore came off the bench for his last nine games and averaged 6.7 points and 1.8 assists. Oregon will be the 16-seed in the Big Ten Tournament and take on Maryland on Tuesday. Lin made his first of eight starts in the Jan. 2 win over the Terrapins. He had eight points and two rebounds.

He was solid coming off the bench for the first time since Dec. 28, but didn't move the needle for the Ducks in yet another loss. The only good news for Lin? His replacement at point guard, Drew Carter, didn't do much better; he may get another shot at the starting five sooner rather than later.

Impact Lin hadn't done much for the Ducks all season, failing to hit double-digit points before Jan. 5. Since taking the spot of Jackson Sheltstad (hand) in the Ducks' starting five the last four games, he's been a very capable scorer. Lin is averaging 13.8 points in those games while shooting 37 percent from distance. The guard has positioned himself for a bigger role even when Shelstad does return.
