Frustrated college basketball coaches aren't holding back on publicly criticizing their teams

Frustrated coaches in men's and women's college basketball haven't been holding back in publicly criticizing their teams in recent weeks
FEBRUARY 18 Associated Press
Malik Messina-Moore - Productive in Tuesday's loss Messina-Moore posted 15 points (5-15 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT), five rebounds, seven assists and one steal over 41 minutes during Tuesday's 92-89 OT loss to Villanova.
Impact Messina-Moore scored 15 points in Tuesday's overtime loss, but it was not all smooth sailing to get there. He hit just five of his 15 field goal attempts and missed all three of his attempts from beyond the arc. He's now shooting just 30.8 percent from the field over his last four contests, a rough run of form for the senior. He made up for it a bit Tuesday as he chipped in seven assists and five rebounds, but he desperately needs to break out of this shooting slump.

Jovan Milicevic - Scores 20 versus Villanova Milicevic recorded 20 points (8-16 FG, 4-7 3Pt), nine rebounds, five assists, three blocks and one steal over 39 minutes during Tuesday's 92-89 OT loss to Villanova.
Impact Milicevic nearly recorded his first double-double of the season Tuesday, falling one rebound shy of that mark. Still, he scored 20 points for the fifth time this season and set season highs in rebounds (nine), assists (five) and blocks (three). Unfortunately, he also set a season high with four turnovers, but that is a small sacrifice for what was otherwise his best performance of the season thus far. He'll look to keep that momentum going Saturday at Butler.

Tre Carroll - Shines in overtime loss Carroll provided 28 points (11-14 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 40 minutes during Tuesday's 92-89 OT loss to Villanova.
Impact Carroll recorded his second double-double of the season Tuesday, his first since Nov. 21. He scored 28 points for the fifth time this season and was incredibly efficient, only needing 14 shots from the field to hit that mark. The downside to his performance is he was loose with the ball as he committed a season-high six turnovers, his ninth consecutive game with at least three. His high usage rate on the offensive end will naturally lead to more turnovers, but he was particularly reckless versus Villanova.
FEBRUARY 18 ROTOWIRE
Matt Hodge - Solid in Tuesday's win Hodge notched 10 points (3-7 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one block over 36 minutes during Tuesday's 92-89 OT victory over Xavier.
Impact Hodge put together a solid performance Tuesday as he scored 10 points and hit two three-pointers in the overtime victory. He also grabbed six rebounds (two offensive), his most since Dec. 31. The freshman is now averaging 9.4 points and 3.8 rebounds per game this season, solid numbers for the clear fifth option in the starting five.

Tyler Perkins - Scores 17 in Tuesday's OT win Perkins posted 17 points (6-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), three rebounds, one block and two steals over 37 minutes during Tuesday's 92-89 OT win over Xavier.
Impact Perkins dropped 17 points in Tuesday's win, his 10th consecutive game with at least 15 points. He has been incredibly consistent over that stretch too, making and attempting similar numbers of field goals in each contest. He didn't fill out the rest of the box score particularly well though as he grabbed three rebounds -- his fewest since Jan. 10 -- and failed to record an assist. Perkins has established himself as one of the premier scorers in the Big East since conference play began, and there's no reason to believe that won't continue throughout the rest of the season.
FEBRUARY 18 ROTOWIRE
Bryce Lindsay - Drops 15 versus Xavier Lindsay totaled 15 points (5-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two assists and one steal over 25 minutes during Tuesday's 92-89 OT win over Xavier.
Impact Lindsay scored 15 points in Wednesday's win, his most since scoring 18 versus Butler on Jan. 3. He hit four three-pointers for the sixth time this season and also chipped in two assists in his seventh consecutive contest. It was a great way to bounce back after a four-game stretch where he scored 12 total points, and he'll look to keep the momentum going into Saturday's contest versus UConn.
