Slow start to season Sims notched seven points (3-7 FG, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, and an assist in a loss to Villanova on Sunday.

Impact Sims was projected to be an elite froncourt option this season as a junior, but it has yet to really materialize. He is averaging just 6.2 points and 6.4 rebounds through the first five contests. Freshman phenom Greg Brown and Kai Jones have taken a little bit of opportunities away from Sims, but he should start putting better performances together soon. Texas will get Texas State on Wednesday.

Another good scoring output Coleman put up 17 points (7-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, and three assists in a loss to Villanova on Sunday.

Impact Coleman and Courtney Ramey led the way for the Longhorns with 17 points, but it wasn't quite enough to take down a very good Villanova team. Coleman has had a very strong start to the season, averaging 16.4 points, 4.6 assists, and 2.2 three-pointers while shooting over 50 percent from the field. The senior should remain as one of the better guard options in the Big 12 the rest of the season.

17 points not enough Ramey scored 17 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and added three rebounds, two assists, one steal, and a block in the loss to Villanova on Sunday.

Impact Ramey has really stepped up this season for the Longhorns offensively. He is averaging 15.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.8 three-pointers through the first five games this season. The 6-3 junior is also playing a whopping 34.8 minutes per contest. Ramey should continue to start and play a high volume of minutes going forward.
