Devin Askew - Shut out in opener Askew finished with zero points (0-3 FG, 0-3 3Pt) in 13 minutes during Monday's 71-66 loss to BYU.
Impact Askew logged 13 minutes of cardio Monday as he missed all three of his shots, committed three fouls, turned the ball over once and did not record any other stats in the close loss. He was expected to miss the start of this season with a knee injury, so the fact that he was in the starting five was a surprise. He was clearly not fully ready for a return given his lackluster performance, and eventually Bryce Lindsay took over his spot in the rotation. He will look to bounce back Saturday versus Queens University, assuming the team does not reevaluate the decision to rush him back.

Duke Brennan - 15 rebounds in opener Brennan closed with eight points (4-6 FG), 15 rebounds, one assist and two steals across 32 minutes during Monday's 71-66 loss to BYU.
Impact Brennan was cleaning the glass throughout Monday's season opener as he recorded 15 rebounds in his Wildcat debut, the second most in his collegiate career. It was a really promising performance for him, especially against a strong opponent like BYU led by A.J. Dybantsa. Brennan also scored eight points on six shots and recorded two steals in the close loss.

Bryce Lindsay - Drops 22 versus BYU Lindsay ended with 22 points (7-14 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 3-5 FT), five rebounds and two assists over 27 minutes during Monday's 71-66 loss to BYU.
Impact Lindsay came off the bench in Monday's opener after coming into the game as questionable due to an illness. He ended up leading the team in scoring as he dropped 22 points and hit five 3-pointers in the close loss to a Top 10 team. Devin Askew started over him, but Lindsay ended up taking over that role as the game progressed since Askew was clearly not fully himself after missing some time with a knee injury. This performance could push Lindsay into the starting five for Saturday's game versus Queens University.
