Facing lengthy absence Coach Jerry Stackhouse indicated Friday that McBride will be sidelined "for a while" due to a "nasty" right ankle sprain, Robbie Weinstein of 247Sports reports.

Impact McBride was spotted in a boot during Tuesday's game against Kentucky, so it's not a huge surprise that he's slated to miss a number of contests. The freshman guard has provided some depth minutes off the bench in the early going but hasn't produced on a large scale for the most part. The Commodores will likely shorten the bench rotation in McBride's absence, opening the door for a few added minutes from those in the regular rotation.
