Enters transfer portal Manuel (suspension) has decided to enter the transfer portal, VerbalCommits.com reports.

Impact Manuel was suspended indefinitely in early October by New Mexico's administration and no resolution had been reached to this point. As a result, the senior has decided to move on from the Lobos and will attempt to finish out his career at another university.

No timetable established Manuel (suspension) remains without a timetable for a resolution, Geoff Grammer of the Albuquerque Journal reports.

Impact Manuel saw big minutes at center last year for the Lobos while rotating in and out of the starting five, finishing the year with averages of 7.9 points and 4.0 rebounds across 20.2 minutes. His initial suspension was announced back on Oct. 1 and it doesn't seem like much has changed since. Unlike teammate Gethro Muscadin, who was cleared this week, Manuel's suspension is being administered by the main campus, as opposed to the athletic department. It was referred to by Grammer as an "on-campus discipline matter not yet resolved" and it doesn't sound like the school intends to comment any further on the issue. This makes Manuel's status murky at best for Friday's exhibition and next Wednesday's season opener against Florida Atlantic.

Suspended indefinitely The University of New Mexico Athletics Department suspended Manuel indefinitely Friday, Geoff Grammer of the Albuquerque Journal reports.

Impact Manuel will not be permitted to participate in team activities during the suspension. The 6-foot-10 center averaged 7.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks across 20.2 minutes last season. Gethro Muscadin and Sebastian Forsling will likely both see increased minutes during Manuel's absence.

Won't play Wednesday Manuel won't play in Wednesday's game against Colorado State, Geoff Grammer of the Albuquerque Journal reports.

Impact Along with three other teammates, Manuel didn't make the trip out to Colorado State due to an undisclosed reason. This will be the first game that the center has missed this season. With Bayron Matos-Garcia (undisclosed) also out, Emmanuel Kuac and Vladir Manuel should see increased minutes.
