UC basketball to wear 1970s 'The Cats' throwback-style jerseys Cincinnati Bearcats basketball will dip into its rich history for uniform inspiration for two American Athletic Conference games next month.
A.J. McGinnis - Returns Thursday McGinnis (undisclosed) closed Thursday's 90-69 victory over Tulsa with zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one steal over two minutes.
Impact McGinnis returned to action after missing the last four games with and undisclosed injury. The 6-foot-3 sophomore played just two minutes in his return to action during Cincinatti's rout of Tulsa. McGinnis has played in eight games for the Bearcats, contributing 2.3 points and 0.5 rebounds on five minutes per game this season.

John Newman - Suffers knee injury Newman (knee) left the game and didn't return during Cincinatti's 90-69 win over Tulsa, Justin Williams of The Athletic reports.
Impact Newman was unable to return to the game for Cincinatti after suffering a knee injury. Newman had previously undergone a knee surgery on the same knee, but the extent of his injury is still unknown at this point. The 6-foot-5 senior has started in all 18 games for the Bearcats this season, averaging 7.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals on 26.4 minutes per game. He will be questionable to play in Tuesday's game against Temple until the extent of his injury has been revealed.

Impact Martin has not played in the last three games and seldom plays even if healthy. There shouldn't be any change to playing time for other players with Martin out.
