Impact Due to a blowout, the freshman from Phoenix saw more minutes Tuesday and he took advantage of his increased time, finishing with 14 points while shooting 66.7 percent from the field. Washington is the Lobos' most effective scorer coming off the bench this season, averaging 7.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game with shooting splits of 44.2/29.7/67.2. Expect the young guard to continue producing off the bench as New Mexico takes on Nevada in the second-round of the Mountain West Tournament on Thursday.

Impact Washington has been going through a shooting slump as of late, averaging just 3 points per game on just under 28 percent shooting across his last four contests. Despite his recent struggles, the 6-foot-4 freshman leads the Lobos in scoring off the bench with 8.0 points per game. He'll look to add value off the bench and bounce back from his poor shooting performances Friday when New Mexico takes on San Diego State.

Out with illness Washington is out for Friday's matchup against Eastern New Mexico due to an illness, Geoff Grammer of the Albuquerque Journal reports.

Impact Washington will be sidelined for this contest against a Division II opponent, but it doesn't seem as if this will be a major absence. He will aim to return to the hardwood when the Lobos take on Colorado State on Jan. 2.
