Impact Head coach John Calipari confirmed that Brazile injured his ankle while going for a rebound against the Trojans, noting that the medical staff did not feel comfortable with the junior forward returning to the game. Brazile has had a history with injuries in his time as a Razorback, as he had played just 35 games in his two seasons with the program heading into 2024. The 6-foot-10 forward had averaged five points and 5.5 rebounds per game through two contests this season prior to his injury. His status is thus far unknown, putting his availability for Monday's matchup against Pacific into question.

Impact Brazile will forgo two years of collegiate eligibility to enter the 2024 NBA Draft. The 6-foot-10 forward is a reliable rebounder and defender, having averaged more than five rebounds and a block across each of his three seasons with either Missouri or Arkansas. Impact Brazile proved to be fully clear from last year's knee injury when he suited up for an October 20 exhibition against UT Tyler and chipped in four points off the bench. The competition level rose Friday, however, and Brazile's role appeared to be more reflective of what's in store for the regular season. The third-year forward moved into the starting five, where he saw a considerable minutes bump and tied Tramon Mark for the team-high in scoring. There's a tremendous ceiling here if Brazile can remain healthy in 2023-24.

Impact Don't look too far into Brazile coming off the bench, as several other projected starters such as Davonte Davis and Khalif Battle served in a reserve capacity as well and even played more minutes than a few of the starters. Even if he doesn't crack the starting five, Brazile was still a major fantasy factor in his brief time as a reserve with Arkansas last year, averaging 11.8 points and 6.0 rebounds in nine games off the bench. What's largely important here, however, is that Brazile is clear of his knee injury, as he wouldn't otherwise be participating in a relatively meaningless exhibition. The Razorbacks get a much tougher preseason test against Zach Edey and the Purdue Boilermakers on Saturday, which will hopefully give fantasy managers a better idea of Brazile's expected usage.
