Impact Williams had been dealing with a hip pointer, but given he's healthy enough to start, he should be given a big role in the opener. With little competition for post minutes, Williams is one of the favorites to lead the entire Big Ten in rebounding in 2020-21.

Impact It doesn't appear that Williams is in any danger of missing the season opener, but it's just a situation to monitor with a Nov. 25 matchup against Liberty just nine days away. The 6-10 junior will be an important player for the Boilermakers this season and is projected to be one of the top rebounders in the Big Ten. Purdue is currently dealing with multiple injury issues in the frontcourt, and while the Boilermakers will likely be favored against Liberty regardless, a lack of depth could prove costly when facing either Clemson or Mississippi State in the Space Coast Classic to begin the year.
