Joins the Bulldogs Simpkins announced via social media that he has committed to joining Mississippi State ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Impact Simpkins joins the Bulldogs after playing last season with Seton Hall. The junior guard had a productive season in which he averaged 9.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists on 25.2 minutes across 33 appearances, including just two starts.

Impact Simpkins will look for a new school this offseason after his one-year stint with the Pirates. Impact Simpkins started his second straight game Wednesday and put in another solid performance. He scored 12 points on eight shots and hit one triple in his third straight game. He also chipped in two assists, one rebound and two steals in a solid yet unremarkable performance. He played 35 minutes though, making it clear that he's a very important part of the Pirates' rotation.
