VJ Edgecombe - Defensive dominance Edgecombe finished Sunday's 104-41 win over Tarleton St. with 17 points (4-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 8-11 FT), five rebounds, two assists, three blocks and four steals in 24 minutes. Impact Edgecombe continues to show why he was such a highly-coveted recruit in posting a season-high 17 points. However, the five-star freshman's more impressive performance came on the defensive end, adding four steals and three blocks. Edgecombe struggled in his first game against Gonzaga but in the three game since, he's averaged 13.7 points, 7.7 boards, 4.7 assists, 2.7 steals and 1.7 blocks. He is already proving to be a star all over the court and fantasy managers and college basketball fans will have to enjoy it while they can as Edgecombe is likely to be one-and-done in Waco.
