Markus Burton - Strong output in blowout victory Burton ended Wednesday's 89-60 victory over Stonehill with 18 points (6-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, five assists and one steal over 32 minutes.
Impact Burton was the co-leader in scoring for the Fighting Irish on Wednesday, and he also paced the team in assists. However, that shouldn't be surprising given his usage rate and his role as the team's starting floor general. Burton seems poised to have a strong sophomore year and should operate as Notre Dame's go-to player on offense on a game-to-game basis.

Braeden Shrewsberry - Goes for 18 points Wednesday Shrewsberry racked up 18 points (6-9 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 28 minutes during Wednesday's 89-60 win over Stonehill.
Impact Shrewsberry was one of three Notre Dame players who scored in double digits in this one, and he co-led the team in scoring with Markus Burton. Given that he logged the second-most minutes in this opener, it seems he'll handle a big role in the Fighting Irish's backcourt this season.
