Impact Johnson returned to South Carolina after playing 10 games with Ohio State, which is close to his Cleveland home, last season. He left the Buckeyes and returned to the Gamecocks, where he played from 2022-2024. The 6-2 senior was limited to 14 points in the opener against North Carolina A&T, but showed off his full offensive arsenal in the win over the Golden Eagles. Johnson should be able to score freely against upcoming opponents such as Presbyterian and Radford.

Impact Ellis looks to be the top scorer off the Gamecock bench. He hit four free throws in the overtime period to help the South Carolina outlast the Golden Eagles. The 6-0 freshman has scored 15.5 points in his first two games and has converted 44.4 percent of his 3-pointers (4-of-9).
