2023 college basketball transfer portal tracker: Arthur Kaluma enters transfer portal
Commits to Louisville Clark announced Thursday that he's committed to transfer to Louisville, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact Clark left the Illinois program in early January and officially entered the transfer portal this week. He chose a new program after a brief period in the portal and will attempt to carve out a role with the Cardinals following a relatively disappointing start to his freshman season at Illinois. Across 13 appearances (12 starts) with the Fighting Illini, he averaged 7.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 24.3 minutes per game.

Reports: Former Illinois Guard Skyy Clark to Visit Louisville The former five-star guard spent just one season with the Fighting Illini, and was target of the Cardinals’ last offseason.

Entering transfer portal Clark is entering the NCAA's transfer portal, according to Joe Tipton of On3.com.
Impact Clark entering the transfer portal was to be expected, as his two best choices were either that or return to Illinois after announcing his departure from the school. It remains unclear why he chose to leave the Fighting Illini, but he will look to enroll in a new program that may be better for him.
MARCH 12, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Leaves program Clark has left the Illinois program, Joe Tipton of On3.com reports.
Impact Clark was a highly-regarded recruit coming out of high school, and he started in his first 12 appearances with the Illini. However, he missed the team's Dec. 29 matchup against Bethune-Cookman due to a shoulder injury and came off the bench during Wednesday's loss to Northwestern. The freshman scored in double figures in just four of his 13 appearances to begin the season and averaged 7.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 24.3 minutes per game. He had initially committed to Kentucky in October of 2020 before committing to Illinois, and it seems likely that he'll seek out other opportunities via the transfer portal now that he's left the Illini. Jayden Epps and Sencire Harris are candidates to pick up the slack in the Illinois backcourt down the stretch.

Scores two in return Clark finished Wednesday's 73-60 loss to Northwestern with two points (1-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 0-1 FT), three rebounds and two assists in 20 minutes.
Impact Clark knocked down 1-of-6 shots, finishing with two points and three rebounds during Wednesday's loss to Northwestern. The 6-foot-3 freshman struggled in his return to the court on Wednesday after missing one game with a shoulder injury. Clark, has started in 12 games for Illinois this season, contributing seven points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists on 24.3 minutes per game. Clark and the Fighting Illini will look to bounce back when they face off with Wisconsin on Saturday.
JANUARY 5, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Available at Northwestern Clark (shoulder) is available Wednesday at Northwestern, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact Fortunately for Clark, he will not have to sit out multiple games because of his shoulder. The guard will try redeeming himself after scoring zero points across 19 minutes when Illinois hosted Missouri on Dec. 22.
JANUARY 4, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Able to practice Clark (shoulder) is able to practice, Derek Piper of Rivals.com reports.
Impact Clark will wear a shoulder brace until he is ready to play without it. Currently, the freshman has questionable availability before Illinois' game Wednesday at Northwestern.
JANUARY 3, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Deemed day-to-day Clark (shoulder) is being considered day-to-day ahead of Illinois' next game Wednesday at Northwestern, Derek Piper of Rivals.com reports.
Impact Clark was held out of Thursday's clash against Bethune-Cookman due to a left shoulder injury, but he's not yet guaranteed to miss additional time. The team will likely evaluate the guard on a daily basis moving forward with more updates likely to surface closer to Wednesday's tipoff.
DECEMBER 29, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Will not suit up Thursday Clark (shoulder) will not suit up for Illinois' Thursday night matchup against Bethune-Cookman University, Scott Beatty of WDWS reports.
Impact Clark was a shell of his self last Thursday against Mizzou, going scoreless in 19 minutes. His poor play can be attributed to the pain he's feeling in his left shoulder. The freshman's timetable to return is currently unknown but expect him to find his groove once he's back in the rotation.
DECEMBER 29, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Logs 11 points in loss Clark provided 11 points (4-8 FG, 3-6 3Pt), seven rebounds, two assists and one block over 32 minutes during Saturday's 74-59 loss to Penn State.
Impact Clark scored over 10 points for the first time in four games but he and his teammates struggled down the stretch en route to another loss. As he's taken double-digit shots on just one occasion, Clark needs to be even more efficient from the field if he's to gain some confidence in his production.
DECEMBER 11, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Seven points, six assists in win Clark contributed seven points (2-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and six assists in 20 minutes during Monday's 103-65 win over Monmouth.
Impact Clark opens the season as the starting point guard but Monday was the first time he really showed off his passing ability in the stat line. While he still might be recovering from a shoulder injury after wearing a brace in preseason, Clark still holds the keys for the Illini attack, a role he'll hold until Jayden Epps forces it out of his hands.
NOVEMBER 15, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Wears shoulder brace in exhibition Clark wore a brace on his shoulder during Illinois' lone exhibition game ahead of the 2022-23 season, Bret Beherns of WCIA3 reports.
Impact Head coach Brad Underwood noted, "it's an ongoing deal that [Clark's] had for quite some time before he got here," so the fact Clark is still wearing the brace doesn't seem too concerning. The five-star point guard should be in line for a big year at the helm of Illinois' offense in 2022-23, provided he stays healthy.

Racks up minutes in exhibition win Clark scored 11 points (4-11 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT), collected four rebounds, dished out four assists and made one turnover during 29 minutes of Friday's 87-52 exhibition win over Qu...
Impact Clark looks to be more than fresh after recovering from a concussion that delayed his return from an ACL injury suffered in July of 2021. While his scoring efficiency is likely to draw some ire, he was permitted to take his time and logged the most minutes of any player for the Illini in this contest. Clark is still expected to lead the team from tipoff in the Nov. 7 season opener and should get plenty of time to prove what he can do when and confident and healthy.
NOVEMBER 1, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Back from concussion Clark recently missed some practice time due to a concussion but has since returned, Jeremy Werner of 247Sports reports.
Impact Clark already got a bit of a late start to his practice time at Illinois due to an ACL injury suffered in July of 2021, but he received full clearance in August and has since been working on ramping up his conditioning. He hit another roadblock recently with the concussion, but that doesn't sound like anything that will limit him ahead of the Nov. 7 season opener. It's still worth noting given that another concussion in-season could end up resulting in a longer absence. Clark is expected to immediately take the reins at point guard for the Illini, and coach Brad Underwood recently noted that "he's been terrific."
