Impact The Tar Heels struggled on offense and only shot 34.5 percent from the field and 12.5 percent from three-point range, so the fact that no one reached the 10-point mark wasn't entirely surprising -- especially given the Tar Heels used 14 players and only scored 48 points. Black was the perfect example of the team's struggles, though the scoring woes are nothing new for him. He is averaging just 6.1 points per game over his last 10 appearances, a span in which he's gone scoreless twice already.

Impact Roy Williams and the Tar Heels are very much still in the process of figuring out their rotation, but Black was the only player to see 30-plus minutes in this contest. The veteran wing paid that off by contributing in every category while more than doubling his season-long scoring averages. Black has upped his rebounding by a full 1.4 rpg this season, but the biggest difference has been in his three-point shooting. He's upped that mark more than 10 percent, knocking down 36.8 percent of his threes this season.

Impact Black reached the 10-point mark for the first time this season, but his shooting figures have left a lot to be desired -- he's making just 27.3 percent of his shots through his first three appearances. Black is not expected to command many touches on offense, however, as the Tar Heels are loaded when it comes to scoring production -- making the junior guard nothing more than a complementary option on the offensive end of the court.
