Impact Willis returned from a one-game absence in late February, and he closed out the 2021-22 campaign by scoring in double figures in each of his final five appearances of the year. The senior returned to Minnesota after a one-year stint at College of Charleston, and he averaged 15.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 36.3 minutes per game during his first season back with the Gophers.

Impact The Gophers struggled to keep up with Northwestern during Sunday's regular-season finale, but Willis was a bright spot for the team. He led the team in rebounds and assists while finishing with the second-highest scoring total on the team. Willis returned to the starting lineup for each of the final three games of the regular season and averaged 21.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 36.0 minutes per game across that span. He should continue to see plenty of run when Minnesota opens the Big Ten Tournament on Wednesday.
