Puts up 31 in defeat
Omoruyi had a team-high 31 points (10-19 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 9-11 FG) to go along with 11 rebounds, a block and an assist across 34 minutes in Wednesday's 83-75 loss to Missouri.
Impact
With L.J. Figueroa still awaiting a waiver decision from the NCAA, it appears the Oregon offense will run largely though Omoruyi at the wing, with some help from Chris Duarte (22 points) mixed in. Oregon also was dealt another blow Wednesday with the news presumed starting point guard Will Richardson would miss six weeks due to thumb surgery, so even more shots will be up for grabs.

17 minutes in opener
Terry (ankle) had zero points on 0-for-4 shooting, but picked up an assist and a rebound across 17 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's loss to Missouri.
Impact
Had the season started earlier, Terry may have had to sit due to a sprained ankle. With Oregon's delay due to COVID protocol, however, he ended up ready to go in the opener. The freshman guard has also moved up the depth chart recently with Will Richardson set to miss six weeks after thumb surgery. After Amauri Hardy, it appears Terry is next in line to man the point guard position.

Status still in limbo
Figueroa appears to have yet to receive a waiver from the NCAA for immediate eligibility in 2020-21, as he did not take the court in the season opener against Missouri.
Impact
There hadn't been any indication leading up to Wednesday's opener that a waiver was forthcoming, so both Figueroa and teammate Aaron Estrada will continue to wait on the NCAA process. The Ducks could certainly use a third scoring option in Fgueroa, who finished last season as the leading scorer for St. John's at 14.5 ppg. Oregon's wing replacements did fare well in Figueroa's stead, however. Duquesne transfer Eric Williams started and played 36 minutes, tallying 13 points and nine rebounds. Rutgers transfer Eugene Omoruyi was even more stellar, posting a team-high 31 points to go along with 11 rebounds. It still wasn't enough, as Oregon fell by eight points and appears likely to fall from the top-25.

To miss six weeks
Richardson is expected to miss six weeks following thumb surgery, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact
Richardson apparently injured his thumb recently and it has been determined that the guard will need surgery. Richardson was a pivotal piece for the Ducks last season, averaging 11.0 points and 3.7 rebounds over 31 games played. The Ducks will likely turn to Amauri Hardy to handle the point-guard duties in Richardson's absence.

Still waiting to hear on waiver
Estrada is still waiting approval of an eligibility waiver that would allow him to play in the 2020-21 season, James Crepea of The Oregonian reports.
Impact
Both Estrada and LJ Figueroa are two players that the Ducks are hoping to get cleared shortly. They will travel with the team for their upcoming games in hopes of gaining eligibility. Estrada figures to slot in as a nice rotation piece for coach Dana Altman.

Eastern Washington game postponed
Updating a previous report, Duarte and the Ducks are no longer scheduled to play Eastern Washington on Nov. 25, according to the team's official site.
Impact
Oregon announced earlier in the week that it wouldn't be traveling to Mohegan Sun for non-conference games, but this game was originally thought to be OK since it was set to take place in Eugene. That will no longer be the case, as things will be called off "due to concerns about EWU having enough scholarship players available for the game as a result of both positive student-athlete Covid-19 cases and the resulting isolation policies of additional student-athletes under contract tracing protocols." The teams may look to reschedule this game at a later date, however. Meanwhile, the next game listed on the Oregon website is Dec. 12 against Washington.

Ducks won't travel to Mohegan Sun
Duarte and the Ducks no longer intend to participate in non-conference games at Mohegan Sun, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact
Fortunately, Oregon has scheduled its non-conference home opener Nov. 25 against Eastern Washington, and since that game takes place in Eugene, it doesn't appear to currently be in jeopardy. With the Pac-12 schedule a bit uncertain as well, the only other games currently listed on the Oregon website after the opener are Washington (Dec. 12) and UCLA (Dec. 23).

Nursing sprained ankle
Head coach Dana Altman said Thursday that Terry recently suffered a sprained ankle, James Crepea of The Oregonian reports.
Impact
Terry is the Ducks' lone true freshman during the 2020 season, but Altman said that he'll be "out for a while" while he recovers from his sprained ankle. Oregon is slated to open the season Wednesday against Eastern Washington, but Terry's status for the game isn't yet known. Once he's fully healthy, the freshman is expected to serve as a backup point guard.
