Records back-to-back DNPs Sy has missed back-to-back games for the Rebels, with his absence Feb. 23 apparently a coach's decision, according to Ben Garrett of 247 Sports.
Impact It seems a bit off that a player who has started 31 games for the program has simply fallen out of the rotation with the team's NCAA Tournament hopes on the line, but barring any additional reports, that just may be what's happening here. Sy did sit out three games earlier this month with a knee injury, but returned and logged three points in seven minutes against Mississippi State on Feb. 20. The senior has been absence since, with K.J. Buffen and Romello White drawing starts, while Robert Allen and Sammy Hunter see forward minutes off the bench.

Efficient in return Brown started and had seven points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-6 FT), five rebounds and three blocks across 29 minutes in Saturday's 75-70 loss to Ole Miss.
Impact Brown's presence lifted the Commodores to their third victory in SEC play and first since Feb. 13. It doesn't seem like the senior will be overly limited by the knee injury with two more regular season road games on the schedule.
