C.J. Cox - Suffers eye injury Cox suffered an eye injury in Friday's game against Oakland, Sam King of the Lafayette Journal & Courier reports.
Impact Cox was cut over the eye in the first minute of the game, but he returned to the game and finished with an impressive stat line of 14 points (5-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and two assists over 26 minutes. Cox was getting stitches after the game, so there's a chance he might miss a game or two in the future. Purdue's next game is against Alabama on Nov. 13, though.

Trey Kaufman-Renn - Out vs. Oakland Kaufman-Renn (hip) is out for Friday's game against Oakland, according to Nathan Baird of IndyStarSports.
Impact Kaufman-Renn is in street clothes around half an hour before Purdue's second game of the 2025-26 season, meaning he will log another DNP because of his hip injury. The last time TKR did not play, Purdue gave Jack Benter another start, so it would not be surprising if the latter's name is listed as a starter. Kaufman-Renn will have just under a week before Purdue's next game, and it being at Alabama provides a crucial juncture the Boilermakers will want him absolutely available for on their side.

Impact Kaufman-Renn wasn't seen in the early shootaround and in the early work done by big men, so his chances of playing Friday are reducing by the minute. If he's out, it'd be a huge blow for the Boilermakers. Liam Murphy is expected to start if Kaufman-Renn is ruled out.
