Bidunga registered eight points (3-4 FG, 2-4 FT), eight rebounds and one block across 11 minutes during Friday's 92-89 win over North Carolina.
Impact Bidunga saw only 11 minutes Friday but still managed to contribute eight points and eight boards in his first action against a stiff power-conference opponent. The highly-touted freshman has made an impact already for the top-ranked Jayhawks, making nine of 10 shots while collecting 16 rebounds through two games. It was always going to be a long shot for Bidunga to receive significant court time thanks to the depth and talent of the Jayhawks but more performances like this will likely elevate Bidunga into a greater role even without the aid of alternative circumstances such as an injury to free open some extra time in the rotation.

Zeke Mayo - Excels in sixth-man role
Mayo racked up 21 points (7-14 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds and four assists in 29 minutes during Friday's 92-89 victory over North Carolina.
Impact Mayo found himself coming off the bench for the second-consecutive game but he once again led the team in scoring while finishing tied for second on the team in minutes. The senior transfer from South Dakota State has racked up 40 points through two games while showing no ill-effects in making the leap from the Summit League. Mayo was the star of the offseason for Kansas and through two games has justified the hype.

Trimble had 19 points (4-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 10-10 FT) and four rebounds over 33 minutes during Friday's 92-89 loss to Kansas.
Impact The Tar Heels reacted late and couldn't mount a comeback in this marquee matchup against Kansas, but Trimble had a strong showing in the scoring column. He led UNC in scoring even ahead of players such as RJ Davis and Elliot Cadeau. Trimble has scored at least 15 points in his first two appearances this season.
