Double figures in each exhibition Winter had 10 points (5-13 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 0-2 FT) and five rebounds across 26 minutes in Friday's 84-83 exhibition loss to Oklahoma.
Impact It was a modest line to open exhibition play, but Winter upped his production in a softer matchup this week against UW-Platteville, scoring a game-high 17 points to go along with 15 rebounds. He's set to serve as the primary center for the Badgers in the 2025-26 season following a year in which he posted 9.4 ppg and 5.8 rpg across 21.0 mpg. If those per-minute numbers can translate to a workload that's expected to greatly expand, Winter could be one of the breakout stars in the Big Ten in the upcoming campaign. He and the Badgers will open up their season against Campbell on Nov. 3.

Packs on weight Winter has put on around 11 to 12 pounds, according to Evan Flood of On3.com.
Impact With the Wisconsin team lacking true centers, it makes sense that Winter is adding weight. Even though the 2024-25 Badgers primarily used him as a power forward, he also played down low. By adding 11 to 12 pounds, Winter would enter his 2025-26 season as a 245-pound option capable at center, which is where he will likely play.
