Impact Graves made his third straight appearance off the bench Saturday and clearly showed he's feeling comfortable in his new role He put together his best outing of the campaign so far with a season-high 17 points as he hit all four of his attempts from beyond the arc. He also logged six assists and six rebounds, only the second time this season he's hit either of those marks. He'll look to keep rolling Monday versus Utah Tech.

Impact Graves has been a modest contributor as Creighton's primary point guard through five games, posting consistent, but not eye-popping, stat lines. One area he's struggled in has been outside shooting, and although Monday represented the first game of the year in which he's cashed multiple three-pointers, he's still shooting a dismal 16.0 percent from distance so far on the year. He'll likely need to provide some more offensively if Creighton wants to pull an upset against Iowa State on Tuesday.

Impact Graves made his Creighton debut Wednesday, starting at point guard for the Bluejays and performing well. He was second on the team in scoring with 15 points, and he also led the team in assists (five) and steals (three). It was a nice start to the season for him and he clearly carved out an important role on this ranked squad. Next up he faces a difficult test versus Gonzaga on Nov. 11, a game that will be a better indication on what his production could look like against the upper echelon of opponents.

It appears he's been given the keys to the Creighton offense this year and will form a potent 1-2 backcourt combo alongside Josh Dix.

Impact Creighton's 2024-25 team saw Steven Ashworth and Pop Isaacs as its primary point guards. However, Ashworth is out of collegiate eligibility, and Isaacs is in the NCAA's transfer portal. Their departure has left a position opening ripe for the taking for Graves, who served as the 2024-25 49ers' main one. In said role for UNCC this past season, he logged 17.5 points per game.
