Impact Just before Virginia Tech returned to conference action, a physical illness briefly took Avdalas out of action, but it was only one game. The freshman, a projected first-round selection of the 2026 NBA Draft, has backed up his stock with 14.6 points, 5.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.9 three-pointers made on 44.4/37.1/68.1 shooting splits across 12 starts. Avdalas' return comes at a crucial time, with the Hokies not only returning to conference action but also considering their injury list spans at least several players, meaning he may have to shoulder a lot more work against Virginia.
