Up in the air for Friday
Hines (ankle) is questionable for Friday's game versus St. John's, Jerry Carino of AsburyParkPress.com reports.
Impact
Hines suffered an ankle injury in Tuesday's win over Xavier and his status for Friday's regular season finale is now in question. Head coach Scott Holloway said "let's hope the next two days (helps), I'm not a doctor, so I'll let them tell me what's going on." The freshman has appeared in 28 games off the bench this season, averaging 6.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.

Impact
Hines was dominant on the defensive end of the floor Sunday, recording five blocks in just 17 minutes off the bench. It marked his third game this season with five blocks and his first since Nov. 13. He chipped in six points on the offensive end too in one of his best performances in Big East play this season.

Solid on both ends
Hines posted 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-6 FT), 16 rebounds, one assist and three blocks in 24 minutes during Saturday's 77-66 loss to Butler.
Impact
Hines has a volatile game log due largely to Seton Hall's deep rotation, but Saturday's outlier performance saw the freshman post a career-best rebounding total in his second double-double of the year. He's also been solid defensively, recording exactly three blocks in three of his last four games and averaging 2.4 bpg on the season.

Won't play Friday
Hines (undisclosed) is out for Friday's game against Providence.
Impact
Hines will miss a game for the first time this season. The timing of the injury is unfortunate, as the freshman forward has been putting up solid numbers of late and was coming off back-to-back double-digit scoring performances. His next chance to play will come against Villanova on Dec. 23.

Seven blocks Thursday
Hines ended with seven points (3-8 FG, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, seven blocks and two steals across 26 minutes during Thursday's 70-58 victory over Monmouth.
Impact
Hines had another productive outing Thursday in just his fourth collegiate game. He recorded a season-high seven blocks, bringing him up to 16 on the young season. He continued to rebound well to, grabbing eight for the third time this season. Although he's yet to start a game this season even with Godswill Erheriene (foot) still out, Hines has performed very well and seems to be establishing a solid role for himself. It will be interesting to see how Hines' playing time is affected when Erheriene returns, but he's likely shown enough to continue being part of the rotation.

Excellent in collegiate debut
Hines closed Monday's 77-50 victory over Saint Peter's with 12 points (4-5 FG, 4-6 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, six blocks and one steal across 21 minutes.
Impact
Hines featured for 21 minutes in Monday's season opener, in part due to the team's starting front court of Godswill Erheriene (foot) and Josh Rivera (hand) being out. Hines took advantage of his opportunity, nearly logging a double-double and blocking a team-high six shots. He also grabbed four offensive rebounds and shot the ball efficiently in his collegiate debut. It's unclear how he will fit into the rotation when Erheriene and Rivera make their returns, but he made a compelling case to be part of the rotation with this performance.
